Call for Papers: The First SIG eGov workshop (Pre-ICIS) Washington, D.C. 2004 invites papers on the theme eGovernment: conceptual clarity and critical issues. eGovernment is a rapidly growing field, but one that is yet immature and in search of defining boundaries, core focus, methods, and theories. This workshop aims at discussing eGovernment concepts and critical issues. What is eGov and what falls outside of its boundaries? We particularly look for issues distinguishing eGov from adjacent fields. Issues include, but are not limited to, views of government and governance, the role if IT use in government change, the governance concept as well as other concepts generally defining scope and/or focus of the field.
